We breed and raise premium pigs and run a carefully managed rabbitry in Effiduase Ahwerewa. Every animal is selected for strong genetics, raised with space and good feed, and handled with the patience quality demands.

Large White (Yorkshire)
The backbone of modern pig farming.
Hardy, fast-growing and an excellent mother. Sows raise large, even litters, and the breed's long, lean frame produces pork of outstanding quality.

Landrace
The sovereign mother.
Long-bodied sows that farrow easily, milk generously, and wean heavy, thriving litters — the maternal backbone of our farm.

Duroc
The hardy powerhouse.
Highly resilient to the West African climate, with fast growth and exceptional meat marbling — our terminal sire of choice.

Our signature commercial cross combines the fertility of the Large White, the mothering of the Landrace, and the growth of the Duroc — refined over generations on our own farm.

New Zealand White
The world's premier meat rabbit.
Grows quickly, breeds reliably, and produces large, uniform litters. Fine-grained, tender meat sets the standard by which all others are judged.

Californian
Hardy, efficient, dependable.
Pairs excellent meat conformation with real hardiness. Crossed with the New Zealand White, it produces outstanding commercial litters.

Flemish Giant
The gentle giant.
The largest of all rabbit breeds, remarkable for its temperament as much as its size — used to add frame and weight to commercial litters.

Chinchilla
Beauty with substance.
A striking silver-grey coat over a well-fleshed, medium-large frame with good litters and fine meat quality.

Our next great leap is genetic. Mantebre Farms is working to establish a modern artificial insemination (AI) management service for pig farmers across the Ashanti Region — bringing disciplined, genetics-led breeding within reach of every serious producer.
With AI, we can unlock elite sire genetics, improve litter uniformity, and strengthen disease control, all while reducing the cost and risk of moving live boars. The result: healthier herds, more predictable performance, and breeding quality that raises the standard for the whole region.
